How is it better than the Apple TV?
The Google TV has 4K resolution, better than the Apples HD resolution, but the same as the Apple TV 4K.  The Google TV runs on Android and is more flexible if you’re technically minded.  For example you can sideload Aptoide TV.

How is it worse than Apple TV?
Essentially, it’s the age old difference between Android and Apple – Apple is a refined product you pay a premium price for, Android gives you great specs at a great price with great flexibility for the technically minded, but it can be clunky and unrefined at times.
